5

5 more weeks until baby number 2 is here.

5 weeks since I moved here to Minneapolis.

5 the month of May which my new little one is due.

Here are a few activities I have started to do with my little one who says she is already 2!

The Library. Get involved at your local library. This was something I couldn't do with her until now because of my teaching schedule. They have story times and so many wonderful new books. I love reading and am so glad I am sharing the love of reading at such a young age.

I do not have the energy or would I want to go to a new place each day with my little one. NO THANK YOU! I do like some schedules! So instead we pick one day a week to find a fun new place to visit. We have been to the aquarium, zoo, children's museum, and some new parks. It keeps the weeks fun to plan a little field trip each week. It lets you get to know your city too.

I have not joined a mom's group yet, but am in the process of looking for one. This website I have heard great things from. I plan to join a group. I think it will be great for my little one and I.

The last thing I have done is joined a gym with a play area for my little one to play with some other kids her age.

This little gem of a book has some great ideas to make other people's days a little brighter.

Fall

September 1st is the beginning of fall in my eyes! I am excited about finding some great soup recipes, fall fashion(my wish list is always the longest in the fall), new fall activities to do with my toddler, fall date nights with the hubs, fall home decor,  fall in the classroom, and some fun fall girls nights in and out. Happy Fall ya'all! Even though I am so sad about summer ending fall is here. Bring on the long crisp nights and cooler days.

Morning Time

My schedule has changed since going back to school. To help maximize my time with my little girl, Liza and my hubby.  I have been doing a few little things that make a huge difference. The first thing I do is get up at 5:00! Yes, thats early. I usually wake up with a big cup of coffee while reading some daily devotions.

Then around 5:30 am I get my work out on! I try to run at least twice during the week and once on the weekends! The other days I tone. I love the Tone It Up Girls! They have the best videos that you can do at home. Many are free, but my favorite is their dvd. You can download it and start your workout    right away!

The next thing I am doing a better job at is meal planning. I am planning all my dinners for the week on Saturday or Sunday morning. I try to plan a taco night, pasta night, slow cooker meal,  and a veggie meal.  I bought a magnetic schedule for the fridge to help with organizing my weekly meals.

first post

I finally did it! I have been wanting to start my blog for a long time now. I will be posting everything from teacher ideas to mommy posts to life posts.  I can't wait to get started. This is the week that my fun summer mommy life changes to my mommy and teacher life. To get me through the week I am living by this quote:

"The secret to being happy is accepting where you are in life and making the most out of it everyday"
